A Delivery

Originally posted 15th March 2015

When the children were small we used to go skiing with another family, and we would drive out to the Alps from the UK.  To cut down the cost and also to give the cooks a break, all the food was cooked beforehand, frozen and then taken out in a couple of polystyrene boxes, which Richard got from work.  Once we were in the Alps the boxes would be kept outside in the snow and out of the sun, and the food would stay frozen all week until we needed to defrost a dish for the next day’s evening meal.  These polystyrene boxes are used throughout the food industry to keep food cold or frozen.
Lorry 2One of the factories in China needed some of these boxes, duly ordered them and they arrived on a delivery lorry.  I thought you’d like to see what that meant.
The lorry was only a three wheeled tuk-tuk style van.
Just in case you haven’t quite gathered why this is so funny, take a look at the full side on shot.
